"After some research and reading reviews, my husband and I joined a small group 10-day tour that included the city of Prague, small town visits to Český Krumlov and Telč, as well as 3 nights in South Moravia, with its scenic vineyards and “waving” fields of grains.

With only three guests on our tour, it was like traveling with best friends. Jan planned every detail perfectly. The accommodations in the city and the rural areas were unique and charming.

Jan had made reservations a year in advance so we could have private tours of the glass factory, Strahov Library, and the Municipal House. We didn’t just visit the library, we strolled through the halls which is no longer an option for most tourists! We didn’t just snap pictures of the concert hall in the Municipal House, we stood on the stage! Our favorite evening was spent in a candle-lit wine cellar tasting delicious wines with the owner/sommelier. Truly magical!

Jan was always there to help with composition, camera settings, and critiques. He expanded our photography skills and encouraged our creativity. We are glad to have a new photo friend in another country. Thanks, Jan."

"Just returned from a tour of the Czech Republic with Shuttermoon. Jan did a fabulous job with this trip. His attention to detail and pre departure communication made sure that all my questions were answered. The itinerary was packed and a bit of a whirlwind but so enjoyable. Having been to Prague previously, I was excited to see other parts of the country and the tour did not disappoint. The itinerary was varied and each day presented something different to experience – both from a photography and cultural experience standpoint.

From a photography perspective I appreciated Jan helping me move out of my comfort zone and photograph subjects that I do not usually photograph. Needless to say, I learned a lot along the way that will help me become a better photographer – both in the field and post production. With his help I have a lot of “keeper” photos from the trip and increased confidence in my skills.

We loved our photography tour of Cappadocia and Istanbul, Turkey.  Jan did a great job of organizing all of the trip details including arranging for very good local guides. His communication skills are stellar and we always felt informed both before and during the trip. Jan is great at making any necessary adjustments during the tour and does so with a smile on his face. He really is a lot of fun to travel with, and he’s a great photographer with a strong eye for composition who’s able to help you get the best photographs you can at any given location. We hope to do another photography tour with Jan in the future!

Jan is a very talented photographer who generously shares his expertise with amateurs like me. He is a wonderful, caring leader who provides world-class photography tours.

Jan provided a perfect balance of photography opportunities, cultural experiences, and unstructured downtime during our tour in Myanmar.
